E-submission of regulated product applications through internet-based software

In order to comply with the measures and restrictions adopted by several EU Member States to control the spread of COVID-19, EFSA has decided to adopt mandatory teleworking for all of its staff members. In order to ensure business continuity, EFSA has decided to allow companies and institutions to submit applications electronically via Internet-based software.
The company or institution is free to choose their preferred Internet-based software, hosted by either the applicant or a third-party. The usage of the EFSA SharePoint site hosted by Microsoft is only permitted in case the previous option is not possible. Original technical dossiers, updates of technical dossiers and responses to requests for missing or additional information can be submitted through the Internet-based software. The date on which the transfer of the data was successfully completed, will correspond as the date of submission of the application.
The decision entered into force on 30 March 2020 and will remain applicable until further notice.
