We are looking for an ambitious and energetic business development manager to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our international team at our Head Office which is located just outside Barcelona. You will work closely with the business development director & marketing team to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales, generating new business & maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients.


  • Become familiar with the technical & regulatory aspects of the business
  • Have a good understanding of Pen & Tec´s services and be able to advise potential clients about them
  • Identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
  • Communicate new services to prospective clients
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain & customer satisfaction
  • Manage Pen & Tec´s customer relationship management cycle
  • Generate leads & new business
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Meet with customers/clients face-to-face or over the phone
  • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
  • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
  • Contribute to marketing copy and promotional content 


  • Graduate in life sciences
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • +2 years industry experience
  • Sales or business development experience
  • Ability to write fluently in English & transform technical copy to user-friendly trade articles
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience presenting at events & conferences
  • Positive, flexible with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
