Webinar with Ing. Justyna Pałasińska: Cellular agriculture – regulatory landscape in EU

About This Webinar

Plant based meat replacers are already available on the EU market and welcomed by consumers. Other novel protein sources are being developed and often produced by emerging technologies. R&D departments are working hard on making the production process cost effective for the consumer and as sustainable as possible, but is there anything else they should be taking into account at this stage?

What To Expect

Considering the novelty of the proteins and/or production processes, the products will have to undergo a safety assessment before they can be legally placed on the EU market. What does the regulatory process entail? Is there anything that can be done at this stage to ease the regulatory hurdles? Which are the key questions that should be asked now, and which questions can wait for later?

This webinar will cover the changes implemented to the novel food  regulation over the last time.
