12th International Scientific Conference on Probiotics, Prebiotics, Gut Microbiota and Health (IPC2018)

Meet top class scientists at IPC2018, which will be held during 18-21 June 2018 in Budapest, Hungary. The event will give participants the opportunity to expand their ideas on recent advances made in the science of probiotics, highlighting their current and future roles in maintaining health and preventing diseases.

Dr McCartney will also run a regulatory workshop on Monday 18 June: Global approaches to probiotic safety and efficacy in humans and animals.

The workshop will cover the regulatory aspects of probiotics in humans and animals in the EU and other key global areas:

  • Nutrition and health claims and the European Food Safety Authority
  • US FDA approaches to probiotic safety and efficacy
  • Global aprpoaches to the safety and efficacy of probiotics in animals
  • Legal claims and creative approaches to probiotic claims
